CMD is not a General Contractor, we are a “Direct Contractor.” As a restoration contractor, we directly involve your insurance company in the rebuilding process to ensure that your wants and needs are aligned with what your policy allows.
Insurance is a tricky business without any room for assumptions. Understanding the complexity of this industry can mean the difference between returning to your home or office in 4-6 months versus 10-12 months. While a traditional contractor might lack the ability to connect the dots and ensure the job progresses in a timely manner, at CMD we proactively manage risk to avoid delays.

Rory Cardinal
Owner/ General Manager
Rory is one of the principal owners of CMD Construction with over twenty years in contracting experience and ten of those spent working with Insurance companies, managing customer expectations during the reconstruction process. His knowledge of construction and the local Vermont Insurance industry allows him to perform effective and efficiently in a complex environment.
Travis Leno
Project Manager
Travis brings experience, a collaborative attitude, leadership skills and a sense of humor to our team. As a project manager his goal is to match your project needs with our capabilities to provide a product that we can all be proud of.
Patti Gervais
Office Manager
Patti manages the CMD office, handling everything from invoicing, collections, customer scheduling, material selections, and oversight of financials. Patti brings over 35 years of sales and customer service to the business. Her attention to detail, friendly communication and do what it takes attitude is what makes her the customer go-to.
Darrel Depot
Owner/ CFO
Darrel Depot, is one the owners of CMD as well as the owner and general manager of CMD’s partner company; PuroClean. Darrel has spent over 25 years in the facilities management and brings skills in negotiation, operations management, sales and strategic planning to the CMD organization.
Monica Chapman
Owner/ Business Development
Monica brings over 15 years’ experience in the fire and water damage industries. She has held leadership roles across operations, business management, project management and sales. As one of owners of CMD, and an employee of its partner company Puroclean, Monica is the liaison between the cleanup and rebuild process for customers experiencing a property damage.
Gregg Gibbons
Project Manager
Gregg joined CMD in 2023 as a project manager. He has quickly learned the ins and outs of insurance restoration and has adapted to our unique market. His customer centric approach makes him well suited to what we do.
Phil Sumner
Carpenter
Phil has been with CMD for 4 years. He has an eye for detail and is very thoughtful in his process. He considers every aspect of the project and his capabilities are a daily asset to our company.
James Olsen
Estimator
James started with CMD in 2019 as a carpenters apprentice. Since then he was promoted to carpenter and has now developed into an estimator. His experience in construction and attention to detail makes him an invaluable member of the team.
Jarrod Brochu

Jarrod is a carpenter with a wealth of knowledge and experience across all aspects of renovations. He has been in the trades for over 20 years and does whatever is required to get the job done.
